Congratulations to Sanplice Simien, who has committed to play football next year at Northwestern State University of Louisiana! Sanplice is the son of Shameka and Sanplice Simien. He is a senior who has attended St. Frederick High School for six years. His younger brothers, Stephen and Sean, will be members of the St. Frederick class of 2030.
Sanplice comes from a proud legacy of St. Frederick graduates. His mother, Shameka Green Simien (Class of 1997), along with family members Jacqueline Green-Brown (Class of 1979), Hubert Green (Class of 1972), Floyd and Lloyd Green (Class of 1977), Martha Green (Class of 1974), and Ann Green (Class of 1980) are all alumni.
A dedicated athlete, Sanplice has been a four-year member of the Warrior varsity football team, playing as a defensive tackle. He has earned numerous accolades, including 1st Team All-District, 1st Team All-Parish, and 2nd Team All-Northeast Louisiana in both 2022 and 2023. In addition to football, he is also a member of the varsity track and field team.
Beyond athletics, Sanplice is active in academics and extracurricular activities. He is a member of the Spanish National Honor Society and serves on the yearbook staff. He is also deeply involved in his faith community as a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, where he participates in the Jr. Knights of St. Peter Claver and serves as both an usher and altar server.
After graduation, Sanplice will attend , Northwestern State University of Louisiana where he will continue his athletic journey as a member of the Northwestern's football team. We are proud of you, Sanplice! Go, Demons! And Go, Warriors!
